Birthday fun!

At some point, (ie: now!) birthdays start to feel slightly less celebratory due to the number associated with it. Thus the case of hitting the mid-thirties... 34 to be exact. Time just keeps chugging along, whether you're on board or not!
The nice parts of my birthday were:

1. A warm and undeniably spring-ish day.
2. Charley getting up into a 'proper' crawling position.
3. The pediatrician telling me that Charley was "perfect" and very socially adept. (that's no surprise to me...)
4. A lovely dinner with my husband, due to the babysitting services of Nanna and Grampy.

And what a dinner! I feel I must share this adventure with everyone, especially the Ottawa readers. We decided, at long last, to investigate the restaurant at the culinary school at the local college. They serve a 4 course meal for a very reasonable price. I suppose it's worth noting that it's best suited to "adventurous" eaters who have a slight fatalistic streak. The menu changes daily depending on what the students are learning that day and is limited to a couple choices for each course. This is my favourite part of the experience, but might not suit everyone's palate.
The dinner was either wild boar, pickerel or cornish hen, for example. It was very yummy and I can't wait to go again some time. Here's the link:

No pictures to post today, but I'm working on adding some new video links, so check back later.

Happy Belated Birthday Lee!
I'm sorry to have missed it, but I had no idea... men never talk about these things, I'm sure Phil didn't think of mentioning it to Ed. I'm glad to hear it was a great day for you. We'll talk soon!
Kisses to Charley,
Love, Cheryl, Ed & Ysabella.
