Back to the city.

We're back! We spend a fun week with the family; cottaging, eating and doing "walking" boot-camp with Charley. (He's taken a few steps on his own now... but reeee-luctantly.) It was great to see Sarah... can't wait until she moves home in a couple months. She was nice enough to share her first ownership week at the cottage with us. Off we headed in a big gang. Two boat loads, food, clothes, the new Harry Potter, 6 adults, 3 dogs and 1 toddler later, we were there. Worth it! What a beautiful place. A private island on a gorgeous lake. The dogs went semi-feral roaming the place. It thought Kismet might take up with the otters at the back of the island, since, in some ways, she's more like an otter than a dog, (well, the lack of swimming might have outed her), but she came back to reality.

The drive back was quite hairy last night.... lots of traffic and a boy who cried for 3 hours straight. I know that sounds like an exageration, but it's true. Anyone have suggestions on how to make Charley re-discover the joys of car transport? Soooo painful. But! we're here in one piece and he's upstairs catching up on sleep now. (As is his daddy).

Here are just a few of the many, many shots from the week:

Aunty works on some walking skills. Perhaps being pantless helps the process?
Charley discovers the wonder of the 'brows'. We've been marveling for years... now he's joined the gang.
Poor Poppa J! He just wanted to watch the news. Well, too bad! Charley wasn't done with those brows yet.
Me and Granny Barb chatting and enjoying the view.
Cool dude:
Granny Al hangs with a busy boy on the island.
Group shot outside Redrox.
Charley really digs the lake swimming.
A busy table our first night home.
A wee man enjoys the views.
