Surprise post!

Well, I woke up here this a.m., and seem to have acquired "magical" internet. (Isn't that the best kind?!). I don't quite know why, after 3 days... but I'll use it while I've got it because I know there are eager grandparents and aunties out there who want to see crazy Charley on the beach. Here ya go:


Charley, the first morning, discovers the waves out the window.

Charley falls in the surf and gets stripped. He still goes back for more. Understand, that although it's warm enough by Canadian standards, all the locals here are wearing jackets and long pants. I'm pretty sure they think we're bad parents!
Chris marvels over his "meal for one" from Bubba's BBQ up the road. Honestly, there are portion control issues here. You'll be happy to know we ordered just the one meal.
Charley says "what the heck's a 'hushpuppy'?". I couldn't answer that, I'm afraid.
I'll try and post this now, and maybe post more later on. The Outer Banks are dreamy... I recommend them to everyone!
