- I have survived "Slide 2008" with only minimal back/groin damage. Yes, I'm still sore and don't plan on slipping again, but it could be worse.
- Charley, my big superstar, pee'd and pooped in the potty this week! Only once, and it has yet to recur, but an accomplishment nevertheless.
- Much to no one's surprise, I've grown a very, very large baby. Results of the scan are in and the baby is already 7 lbs (with 4 weeks to go) and has a 35 cm head circumference. (ow! That's the average size for a full-term baby, by the way.) Damn the Jones head! Now I, with my doctor's help, must decided whether this baby is in any way 'pushable'. (These numbers would mean the baby would probably be around 9 lbs and have a head like Charley Brown when I was full-term). We were so amazed by the size of this child, that I didn't really get any further feel for girl/boy-dom, although my money is still with a boy.
- Chris is off to "Super Tuesday" in a few days. (Note to self: Don't have baby next week... don't have baby next week....) Boy, is he glad to have backed the winning horse! Part 3 of his John McCain series will be in the magazine in a couple months. They're campaigning 4 or 5 states in 2 days. I'm sure it will be both fun and exhausting. I'm trying to wrap my head around this possibility John McCain winning the presidency, coming to Ottawa for 'business' and then stopping in here for a quick lunch with his pal Chris. Do you think I'm getting ahead of myself? What to wear? What to serve? What if Charley calls him Uncky John? Too funny.
That's enough news for you! Must scamper off to bed and see if I can sleep a whole 4 hours in a row without peeing. Here's hoping!

Please update us immediately on whether or not you managed to make it four hours without peeing. Your public demand to know!!
Bite your tongue! As much as I support Chris's professional success and your dream of hosting presidential dinners in your home, you don't have to live with 4 more years of Republican rule!
Also, good luck with the peeing!
