The post you've all been waiting for!

Yes, it's (almost) time for the annual "Baby in the Bowl" comparison! My long-time readers will remember that pitiful shot of 1 week old Charley using the mixing bowl as a spacious bath-tub. Last year, on Charley's 1st birthday, I did an updated shot in the same bowl.

Now, my big boy turns 2 years old on thursday! Isn't that amazing!? He's such a big lad now, I was really hoping he didn't break the aforementioned bowl. (Hmmm, what will I do when he's 15?)

A few days early, but here are the shots for your amusement:

Charley: 1 week old:

Charley: One year old
Charley: 2 years old

"Mom! I don't think this is going to work!"

Squeeze-o-rama
Charley doing his "cute face":
Eeep! Fell outta the bowl.
Oh well, next year he'll wear it as a hat, I guess.

Here on the home-front: Had another ultrasound and all I can do is shake my head and marvel. It was enough when they were predicting 9 pounds... then it went up to 10 pounds. Well, by thursday, the wee (?) babe had packed another 2 pounds on (in 2 weeks! that's double the normal growth) and was already measuring 9 lbs at 37 weeks. I'm sure this is inaccurate, due to the fact that the head is officially now "off the charts" as far as size. That's a phrase no mother wants to hear! Who knows what he/she will actually weigh, but with a head circumference of 37 cm's as of last week, you can imagine we're leaning towards a c-section. (If you have one of those flexible tape measures, check out a 37 cm circle. It's just not right!).

We're booked to go in on the 28th to welcome this little one into the world, but we'll see if I make it that far. Full moon this week!

Perhaps now is the time for all to predict the actual size of this baby! Assuming I make it to the 28th, my guess is 9.8 lbs and a boy. Your guesses?

I'm so happy you've finally posted this morning! I've been going through major Charley-update withdrawal!

I'm gonna guess 9lbs 5oz and say it's another little man too. But boy, it will be sooo funny if the first words out of Chris' mouth are: "It's a girl!". To be honest, if it's a girl, I'm not sure the words will even come out of his mouth! Not to worry, we'll pad the floor around him with pillows so that if he hits the floor, at least his noggin will be protected. Must protect the earning potential!

Boy, 9lb 2 oz, and horribly attractive like his aunt Sarah

I think another gorgeous boy, and 8lbs 14oz. :)
