All is well...

Thought I'd better update so that everyone knew that Chris was doing well. He had a very ugly foot and a bit taken out and the surgeon said it was "pretty gross", meaning just about as bad as he's even seen. Chris is absolutely dying for food right now, not having eaten since tuesday. When I saw him today he couldn't focus on anything but food items. He's shrinking away. I'll post before and after shots when he gets home... probably some time on monday.

All is well here... or at least tolerable. Charley is truly testing the patience of the world by screaming almost non-stop these days. He's pretty cross with me and Sam and anything else that he views as 'disturbing his life'. I think he'd like to send Sam back and exchange him for a new toy, or something. Oh well, all of this is to be expected. That doesn't make living with the screeching any easier. Plus, there's the whole 'missing daddy' thing.

Here are some shots from the week, courtesy of Granny Al who is here and, no doubt, the only reason I'm still semi-sane.

Charley and his new, super-awesome remote control car from Uncle Ben. Can you tell he's saying 'brooooooooooooooooooooom".
The tree-trimmer man goes up in the cherry picker. He was nice enought to wave at his audience. Watching this, I believe, is the peak of excitement for a 2 year old boy.
Oh no! Martina, he already has corny, make goofy face for the camera syndrome! (And the appearance of the Higginson forehead lines).
He's also an elf. An angry elf.
Piggy was having a time-out in the corner. Visited the Experimental Farm today.

An attempt to get a cute photo of the 3 of us. It failed.
And failed...
And failed... Seriously, look at this photo. Sammy is screaming, Charley looks half simian and I just look delirious. We gave up after this shot.
Har har har! The goat was standing in his water bowl. Har har har. I loooooooooove goats.
That's all from crazy-land. I think I need the sun to come out again.
