We're back!

What a busy visit we've had! 90th birthday party, imminent baby, catching up with the newlyweds, visiting the deserter (ie: Kismet), plus everything else.
Sunday was Granny's birthday party. It was wonderful! There were about 75 people there, and that's after she decided not to invite half the people she'd originally thought of. Can you imagine? If I had a birthday party I might have 7 attendees... She's a popular ol' babe. The party took place in Stewart Hall, a little town near Peterborough, where she was born and raised. (She is half Stewart, after all). From the hall where we held the party, you could look out the window and see the room she was born in, at the farm next door. Being 90, she's in a 'down-sizing' point in her life and asked that in lieu of cards and gifts, that people might bring food bank donations instead. They collected 150 lbs of food to donate. She's a wonderful, beautiful woman and I'm so happy that she's my grandmother. We should all be so lucky to be able to bend like this when we're 90:
Granny, aka Barbara Lee, with her kids. Photos in the background from Barb's youth.

It was a great party and the boys were very well behaved:

Charley scattering the peony petals:
Charley and Sammy had lots of fun hanging around 'Ranny and Poppa's house too. Charley called out "Oggy" and "Penny" the whole time. (Strange he doesn't know his own dog's name though...)

Playing tag with Penny:
Hammock daredevil:
Chasing Oggy. If you could hear him say Oggy, you would die laughing.
Granny's rock and shell collection is awwwwwesome.
Baby Sam, just being gorgeous.

ROCK BANDDDD! This is the greatest video game EV-er! We seriously nailed Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive. I think Ben carried us a bit, because without him we were booted off the stage at about the 20% point. I was sweating up a storm! How does JBJ perform a whole concert without resuscitation?

Sammy tries to crush the competition:
Oh dear. Uncky David introduces Charley to the wonderful world of power tools. He'll never be the same...
"Oh... la la la.. I'm Mr. Casual. I won't chase you gulls".
Sam practices his push-ups: There are a million more photos from this trip, but I'm sure that will do for now.

Looking forward to the arrival of Hannah, as the boys had a rather rough night. We were home quite late, so Charley wasn't in bed until almost 9. Sam is on some mad feeding frenzy and only slept about 4 or 5 hours last night and then Charley was wide awake at 6:30. Ewwww. I feel a bit rough, but hopefully Sam will be keen on some sleep this a.m. while Charley is entertained.

Later!
