A brief visit...

Had a few hours of adult companionship when Al and Jim stopped over here last night on their way to New Brunswick. It was brief, but much appreciated, as it gave Charley someone else to look at for a little bit. He has been a bit angry at me over the last few days (mostly because he's not feeling great and because he's missing his daddy). Whenever a moment of sadness/crisis arises, he calls "Daddyyyyyyyyy, Daddyyyyyyyyy!" and I have to tell him "Daddy isn't here". After calling Chris for about 5 minutes he finally stopped, looked at me, and then yelled "Phiiiil! Phiiiiil!". Nice to know where I place on the current boy totem.
We have a new routine here, thanks to the quitting of nap-time. We play until Sam is tired and then he has a nap and Charley has "quiet time" in front of the t.v. Not my preferred method of parenting, but it does buy me 30 minutes, or so, of time without a voice in my ear.

During Al and Jim's brief stay, I copied a video off her camera that I had forgotten from the visit home last week. It is Sammy doing his "trick". He's been doing this for about a month, or so, and I think he's quite clever for figuring this out so young!

C'est cute, n'est ce pas?

Pics of Charley-boy to come.
