I really shouldn't let a week go by without updating the ol' bloggy, but it has been a particularly busy one here.
Charley, Sam and I went to Ptbo. to celebrate Emily and my birthdays. We were born 9 years and 364 days apart. It's scary that she was turning 26 and that I remember her birthday very clearly. Must be getting ollllld. (36, in fact).
We had a really great visit. Lots of loud, crazy family dinners, visits to the zoo, Great-granny's house and Charley's first ever church service. Yeah, now he wants his own organ.
It's great to have everyone all together a few times a year. The boys were well-behaved and all tuckered out after their country long weekend.
Kismet, the wonder-dog, has come back home with us having wintered in the 'south'. She's in readjustment mode (ie: waiting for the depression to hit) but seems okay so far.
Here are a few photos:

I bask in the glow of birthday bliss. (Note the two cakes. Sarah and I each baked a cake and then had a family taste test. It was determined a tie... sort of.)
...and Charley deems this tres amusing.
