We got back from our Nooby adventure on Monday, and have been adjusting to the heat of Ottawa ever since. Real summer has hit the Capital. It has been over 30 degrees with the humidity factor ever since we stepped off the plane. Quite an adjustment to having the fire on in New Brunswick on Monday morning.
The boys are a little crabby and befuddled this week. Sam is crying upstairs as I write this, arguing against the nap he so desperately needs. Charley isn't much better. He's been quite short tempered and prone to frustration the last couple days. I think traveling the bulk of a month has taken a bit of a toll on the boy-o's and it'll take a week, or so, to get them back to their normal selves.
I've had a wonderful time on my adventures of late, but let me say how happy I am to be home. Well, I'm happy today. Tomorrow, however, Chris leaves for 5 days. A LEISURE trip too. He's off to play poker at the WSOP in Las Vegas, so if he brings home a big box of money, I guess I'll be happy about the trip in retrospect.
Now I begin the long, tedious task of figuring what to bring when we leave on our Montana adventure, less than two months from now. We're going to Missoula from August until December, so the items I may need are varied (Swimsuits to snowsuits). The fun part is packing enough, but not more than the ol' Corolla can hold. A challenge, I say.
Here are a few more pictures from our fun down east.
