There are no words...

I can't even begin to describe yesterday to you. The construction work, which was due to start weeks ago, finally got started yesterday with a bang. Yeah, an actual bang. While they were digging up an old concrete pad in order to put a new wall and support post in, they ruptured the water main and completely crushed the drainage pipe. In the end, we had no water for the whole day and the basement was flooded with a sewage soup.

I'm too tired to be funny about all of this, because my puzzling children decided to scream their heads off at 4:45 and not go back to sleep.

I just wanted a porch, some steps and the use of my front door again. Here's what I've got today:
