Campus and Carousel

Being the clean-living, all-American family now, we went for a bike ride en masse yesterday. Chris (aka Big Legs) pulled the boys in the chariot, while I provided the service of riding behind to monitor the slapping antics. (And the occasional 'crack' of the helmets smacking together, so noted by cousin Julie).

We stopped by the university so Chris could pick up a book. I've neglected to post many pictures of UM so here are a few from Chris' building:

May I take this moment to point out the weather? Seriously folks, mid-20s (or 80-ish in my new world), no humidity and blue skies every day! We might have had an hour of rain total in the 3 weeks that I've been here, but that was at night, so I can't be sure. Looooove it.

Then we headed off to... you guessed it! Dragon Hollow! Charley, who seems to have an ever-growing list of things on the 'no-way' list, scooted past the carousel with his fingers over his eyes, as is his tradtion.

Sam showed much more interest though and Chris ended up taking a spin with him.

Try as I might, it was impossible to get a good shot of the pair on their horsie as:

1. My camera is not equipped for such high-action photog.
2. The carousel spins at exactely 100 miles per hour.

The results are quite funny though:

This one nicely illustrates the 'dad-fear' of spinning that quickly while being in charge of a wiggly toddler. (And trying not to barf).

These two just make me laugh. I was obviously mis-timing the shots slightly, so you get proud baby and the aforementioned Big Leg.

Har har har. Too funny.
Charley watched the goings-on while I took the pics, so maybe he'll come around to the idea of taking a ride. Nothing like a baby brother shaming for motivation!
