While the following post may be enjoyed by anyone, it is specifically designed to incite a laugh from Uncle Phil.
____________
I've been holding on to these photos for a week, or so, waiting for the day I didn't have anything else to post. I knew they were HI-larious and hope you think so too.
We have a soccer field (ie: footie pitch) behind our house that provides a close and easy outing. With Gertie balls in tow, we headed out. (Gertie balls are just one of my favourite toys... If I get a chance, I'm thinking about doing a post a list of my favourite toys for all you holiday shopping parents).
Now, let me say that I'm not one to label my boys. At least, I try not to. But it would seem that we have one 'sporto' type and one 'lie-in-the-grass-and-daydream' type. Hmmm, can you guess who is who?
So after 32 seconds of running around with the ball, Charley had maxed out and spent the rest of the time in the park playing with his yoyo or whining in my general direction.
While this was going on, Chris and Sam were deep into a heated footie match.
By the way, did you know that Chris is quite competitive? (gasp!)
Here are some of the shots I caught of the live action. I think they speak for themselves:
Oh, that just makes me laugh. Sam shrieked with laughter during the entire thing, so I think he enjoyed his 'schoolin', but perhaps someone should remind Chris that Sam is 20 months old.
(I know Phil's saying to himself that Chris celebrated this hard because that's the only way he was going to score a goal. A-musing. )

I especially like this shot, because it has a nice example of SPEED ARMS which, I am devastated to say, seem to have been a short-lived phase. There's been no sign of them so far this week, so I'm extra, extra happy to have this video.
No, the SPEED ARMS won't help you this time, Sammy...
The boys and I are flyin' solo this week and next as Chris travels for his 'real' jobs. Oh yeah... them. Almost forgot about 'real' life.
That's all from here. Hope you liked your post, Unk Phil.
p.s. Did I mention that Phil's new apt is 30 seconds from our house?? Awwwwe-some.
