The trick with boys...

Boys are easy. Really easy to entertain.

That is, as long as you're willing to dismantle your house.

Is there anything better than a fort/jumping pad/trampoline created by household objects? Not for my boys. As long as I'm willing to move some furniture around for them, they are as happy as clams. (Plus the energy expenditure is nothing to scoff at!)

Here's the breakdown of today's creation:

* Take futon mattress off.
* Haul to bedroom downstairs.

* Dig the wood panelling. (optional)

* Create mountain/ramp/slide off the end of bed, propped by other items like beanbag chair and extra blanket.

* Add footstool for easy access.

* Sit back an enjoy boy heaven.

Easy peasy.

The boys were dressed almost identically, but Sam's jammies had feet, whereas Charley was wearing socks. I swear, in some of the pictures that was the only way I could tell them apart.

Examples:

I like that Sam shows the proper amount of awe and respect for the cool moves demonstrated by Bro.

Can you tell he was slightly flushed and sweaty by this point?

And now, because there's still MORE!, here's a video of the hoopla after 20 minutes of this action.

Chris is home tonight, very late, for a whole 36 hours before he's gone for another 5 days. Looking forward to the brief visit.
