PoHo and Millbillies

Chris and I took a road trip on Saturday to explore Port Hope.  We both grew up near there and know the town, but we went looking with new eyes, contemplating it as a place we might move.

We've been debating a move from Ottawa for a while, and although nothing's decided at this point, Port Hope is a serious contender for relocation.
It's hard not to fall in love.

After a sunny afternoon in Port Hope we whipped up the highway to see Sarah in Millbrook. (20 minutes!)  It was Jimmy's birthday so we showed up as a surprise during the family dinner and wished him well.  I got to stay on overnight to spend some time with everyone.  Chris drove home to take over child-care duties from John and Marilyn.

A quick shot with Chris before he drove off.

Yay!  I got to stay and smooch babies!  Love this girl!

And let's not forget Bubba.  Jack = 3 months old, 17 1/2 pounds and burly!

I like how Jimmy didn't quite make it into the shot, even though it's his birthday.

Cuties galore.  Seriously... look at the muffin-top on that baby!

Jack is quite a 'feisty' baby and when you dare to put him in his carseat, he has the meltdown of all meltdowns.  I like this shot, where he's been put outside to cool off after his crying fit.  Yeah... that'll teach ya!

Clearly the booze is for his parents.

That is all.  Back to Ottawa life now, which means that Chris is jetting off to the Netherlands today and I'm wiping noses and bums.  Just the usual.
