Happy Birthday dear DJ

Cousin D turned 7 today.  We went out to their place, ate cake, played and sweated in the unseasonably warm temperatures.  It was 30 degrees when we left there at dinner-time (that's 90 to all you Yanks) and it had me, for one, feeling quite flattened.  I'm all for the heat, but usually there's a bit more warning before you hit these temperatures.  You should see the flowers and trees... it's like they're in a race to bloom, thinking that they are behind or something.

Anyway, Ms. D looked beau-ti-ful and was happy to open her prezzies and generally reign supreme as the coolest, oldest cousin.

This was the look she gave me when I asked her to show me her new 'mature' look.

So cute!

Little Sis JJ is pretty cute too.

My boys just filled and smeared their faces with cake.

Oh.  And in a quiet moment, I found Charley like this.

That reminds me... When we were playing a game of 'toss the ball against the wall' (fun!) I called out to Charley, having not seen him for a few minutes.  I said "Charley, where are you?" and he answered from the entryway "I'm just here in the closet, Mommy".  

???

Birthday party! Ball throwing! Kids everywhere! Overall fun and mayhem!.. And where is Charley.  Yep.  Sitting in the front hall closet with the doors closed. 

Sigh.

I don't need to do another 'my kid is weird' monologue, right?  Good.
