Just a quickie

The magical internet is still with us... so here are a few more photos from today's visit to the North Carolina aquarium on Roanoke Island. Charley, as you can imagine, almost died. There were kids crying over the sharks and barracudas, and Charley was crying because we wouldn't let him get IN the tank with them. One of the barracudas was over 6 feet long!

I didn't use the flash, out of respect for the fishie eyes, so things are rather blurry... but you get the idea.

The main tank hold about 200 fish, 25 different varieties. The main viewing wall is about 12 feet tall and 30 feet long and Charley took it all in.

He especially liked the sharks.
The diver keeps the sand tiger shark moving.
And a few bonus shots from yesterday, since so many of you liked the "Charley on the beach" series. I'm afraid our summer-y weather is over here. As with many of you, a cold front has moved in and I think the high is around 15 tomorrow. Oh well! Better than at home right now.

Charley plots his own course.
