There must be something written on his in-office card, because the doctor walks in, glances at the card and then mutters 'oh yes...' and grabs the tape measure. This, in turn, always causes me to get the giggles. Having Chris with me makes it worse, because the doctor measures Sam's melon (usually twice, because he doesn't believe what he's seeing...) and then peeks at Chris and says "riiiight".
Then there is the inevitable conversation, "norm" chart in hand, about how indeed Sam is not actually 'on' the chart, but continues to be abnormal to the same degree. In other words, he is consistantly freakish. By this point, I am stifling a full-fledge laugh attack. Why is it so funny? I'm not sure. The doctor commented that perhaps Sam is so easy-going because he has parents who find this amusing, rather than worrisome. He did say that if Sam's head was this size, and hadn't been consistantly over the norm, that he'd be having a cat-scan right about now.
I almost had it under control, until the doctor measured Charley's head for the record and, LO!and behold, it's the same size as Sams!! That was it. I was wiping tears away and full-fledged. snorting. Understand that Charley has a completely normal sized head (ie: it's not that Charley has a pin-head). In fact, he's slightly above average.
Oh well. Full of brains, right?
I don't have a single new photo to post, but here are a few videos of one of the boys favourite activities, dancing.
By the way, the other measurements were normal. Charley is shortish and skinny (no surprise there: 31 lbs and about 36.5 inches) and Sam's other measurements are above-average, but actually ON the charts. (He's now 24 lbs and 32 inches long).
Must go and get a few things done while I have the house to myself. (Charley's out with Hannah, Chris is getting his haircut so that he doesn't look like a cave-man when he gets his photo taken tomorrow (for his alumni paper) and Sam's dozing away).
