I know it's way too early (especially in Ottawa) to declare the arrival of spring, but YAY! The snow is melting away and revealing the sidewalks and streets below. (And garbage and dirt and dog poop, etc.).
This melt has become far more important to me ever since I've been a parent, because it heralds the return of stroller season. It's a long, sad season from December and March when the stroller sits all alone in the garage waiting to be useful again.
The big bonus is that Charley still seems to use the stroller-time as a nap opportunity. Considering he hasn't napped during the day since December, this is a coup.
In other news, Sam seems to be contemplating the end of the morning nap. I have mixed feelings about this. I appreciate the quiet morning, especially when Hannah has Charley out and I have an hour, or so to do as I wish. On the other hand, having both boys up in the a.m. presents outing opportunities galore. I'm sure it will take him a month or two to drop it entirely, so I'll just go with the flow until then.
I think if this picture is representative, Sam needs his nap. Seriously... my baby looks like a tired, suspicious baby-Nixon. "I am not a tired baby!"
