We're off!

Okay.

I've written lists and notes and laid out clothes and bought supplies and 8 million other things, and I'm officially out of time. Tomorrow it's off to NYC with the hub for a few days and the boys are having a vacation (here) with Nanna. I'm so excited to see my favourite city again after 3 years + away, and I'm also a bit sad/anxiety-riddled/lonely leaving my two sweet boys.

I know. It's lame. I can't help it! As I said to Chris, I'm a mom and I'll think of them 100 times an hour forever. Or at least until they are some form of "grown up".

Must get to bed, as it's an early, early departure tomorrow. Here are a few shots from today of the usual shenanigans and such.

Pics of food, Chris dolled up, the Village, Chinatown, SoHo and skylines to come. Much love to Nanna for taking on the two-some.

Smooches.

Charley, aka Cool Dude (this is what he's calling himself now), went for his first haircut today. Or, at least, his first proper haircut. I realized that if I didn't stop cutting his hair myself, he was going to end up with a mullet, a "Prince Valiant", or worse. So off to the neighbourhood hair-choppers they went.

Before shot. Scruffy, but adorable.

I think the side view really shows the nice job I've been doing. Not.

He shows a healthy amount of concern regarding the stranger with pink hair leaning closely with sharp objects.

"Protect me, oh Daddy!"

After shots. Okay. Seriously. THIS is the pose he did for me. On his own. I think, Ms. Toots, that the goofy posing gene is strong in this young jedi.

Feeling good. And now a super cool dude, methinks.

Bubba sez "where's mah hair-cut!?"
Did I mention he's standing now? He seems much larger all of a sudden.
Curly Blue in all his glory.

One can understand, seeing these faces, why my heart pulls a bit leaving them, right?
