My sister and my girl-baby

Sarah, aka Nayna, and Evy, aka Adorable-Hilarious-Elf-Baby-of-Mischief, came up for a visit this weekend.  Yay Valentine's Day and Family Day!

Unfortunately, I managed to acquire a 24 hour flu and was out of commission for the bulk of the visit.  I'm still wondering if it was food related, because how could I get a bug first?  Post flu shot?  Is that even possible?  Doesn't it stand to reason that the man returning home from germ-filled air-travel or the boys home from playgroups would be the first to show symptoms?

Anyway... it was a major bummer to miss out on the one full day they were here, but Sarah (being the trooper that she always is) stayed the course and didn't leave until lunch-time today.

And what can I say about Miss Evelyn?  That wee girl just kills me.  I told Chris it's a good thing she's a girl, because she fulfills my girl-child needs.  I just want to sneak her into my pocket and run away with her.  She may be wee in stature, but that personality is big as the moon.

She and Sammy have long been in cahoots (being only 4 months apart in age) and they wasted no time re-kindling their shenanigans this weekend.  Sammy taught her to go up and down the basement stairs and she worked at teaching him the 'stink-eye' face that she has mastered.
Double trouble

He loves her soooo much:

So, way back in the day (ie: July 2008) Sarah came to visit with 7 day-old Evy.  (You see what I mean about her being a trooper?)  Now, despite being a mere 4 months and 1 week old, Sam was quite a behemoth.  And Evy, having arrived a few weeks early, was a little 6 pound-ish runt.  It was, of course, hilarious to take their picture, side-by-side to compare the difference in size:

So, we though, what could be more fun than to re-create the shots today with Sam at 23 months and Evy at 19?

Yep, there's still a considerable size difference, but OH! the love.  Can you feel it?  Sarah and I were already discussing our future approach to telling them that they cannot, in fact, get married.  So silly.  The smooches! the intertwined fingers!  The cutest thing ever.

There are more photos, but that will have to hold you for now.  I'm already up too late for someone who spent yesterday vomiting profusely.  (Too much?  Sorry...)

We are still missing you sooooo much. And these pictures make me laugh and laugh. I was just scrolling down and glanced at them and when you get to the recent ones, it looks like Sam is wearing a wig. Har har har.
